So Josh did one better and got Jules through the approval process and registered for a West Wing appointment, so Jules could see his son in person. That appointment was scheduled for today. It was like she was having a full conversation, only stopping to squeal as he tickled her side. He supported her rump with one hand, her back with the other, holding her to his chest and rocking her a little.
She fisted his tie in her small hand and continued to chatter. So she started up again with a little bit more babbling before shoving his tie into her mouth. He had gotten used to most of his clothes being covered in some combination of slobber, spit-up, and other miscellaneous baby goos. So I just need to place a few more calls, then we can go home. One more hour tops. Donna gave him one of her looks that meant she knew for a fact it was going to take more than an hour.
She made them sing Girl From Ipanema three times. She started babbling again in response, shaking the slobbery end of his tie in front of her face. Donna shook her head and stepped close enough to give him a sweet, lingering kiss. His eyes fluttered shut, and his mind was blissfully empty for a moment. Leah squealed excitedly for being trapped between them. Forty-five minutes of phone calls passed, and Josh thought he might actually make progress in the hour. His hopes of getting out of the office at a reasonable time were quickly dashed.
So what was it about Christmas Eve that got his bosses so worked up to fix everything wrong in the world? Middle East Peace. Child Mortality. Somehow, they were worse than Toby around Yom Kippur. He let out a full-body sigh, scrubbing his face. Especially when he heard her voice carrying down the hall. She hung up her coat and pulled the baby carrier out of the massive duffle-sized baby bag she always lugged around.
Talked about cutting defense spending, as if we ever cut defense spending. I remember I wrote the memo recommending it not get out of committee so she could workshop it and try again next session.
From there, they went their different ways to make calls. So Josh focused on getting the U. So far, the policy councils are having a hard time taking action without identifying offsets.
Donna was giving him an indecipherable look. Just maybe on a different day? Josh tripped over his own feet on the way out of the operations bullpen and toward the oval office. He heard Donna snickering behind him. On his way out, he ran into C. Donna wanted to invite him over for dinner.
There was a huge difference between an autoimmune disorder diagnosis and a political assassination. As he was heading toward the office, Toby was coming out of it. He had a young family, and he barely spoke the language. He went to jail. He went to jail — and you went to school, and it was all half a century ago.
Look what he did in two generations. What room did you just walk out of? Every day I wish he was still here so I could talk to him, or ask him for advice, or just get to see his granddaughter meet him. Maybe in trying to work on the U. Spend the holiday with your family. Go home to Donna and Leah Jo. Leo let out an incredulous burst of laugher and shook his head.
Why am I surprised? Tell me, Josh, when are you going to give that girl a ring? Josh chuckled nervously, scratching the back of his head. Not going well was perhaps an understatement, given the fallout of that particular embarrassment. Josh and Donna had managed to be publicly humiliated, not to mention the panic attack, courtesy of the Canadian National Anthem.
He wandered the halls of the West Wing, feeling a bit of a daze. The sound of singing was coming from the lobby — the Whiffenpoofs were giving a performance of O Holy Night for a gathered group of people stuck inside from the storm or still working.
He noticed Toby and his father standing together in the lobby when he passed by it, feeling a sense of relief as strong as he felt the success for knowing he had helped Toby a little. Toby was, after all, like the brother he never had.
He stepped into the dark operations bullpen, only lit by the multicolored twinkle lights and the one lamp at the station where Donna was working. She had taken Leah out of the baby carrier and put her in the stroller, gently rocking it back and forth with her foot while she spoke into a phone. For such a mundane office he saw every day, Josh should not have been struck so breathless by the scene before him. It was something about how the lights all flickered around the otherwise dark room, giving it a whimsical feeling.
Or the way the lights reflected off Donna, who seemed to gleam like an angelic being in the middle of the cluttered government office.
Six hours? Thank you so much. Which he was. There was no point in denying it. The Infant Mortality can be done after the first, and The Church of the Nativity will just have to be closed during Christmas. So we can go home. They have a regional office in Beirut, Lebanon, and they think they can send representatives for transport and supervision in six hours if the Israelis agree to it.
She made a slightly startled noise before reacting eagerly to his kiss, cupping the back of his head and drawing him in closer. He opened his mouth to her, and she responded, their heated exchange struggling to stay quiet and restrained given the sleeping baby a foot away. He finally drifted away from her lips but kept himself braced on the desk and her chair, their faces mere inches apart. Donna was smiling at him openly now, her face split and her teeth gleaming.
I thought you wanted to go home. Donna glanced at their sleeping daughter in her stroller. Her head was tilted to the side, her mouth was hanging open. The pacifier she had been sucking on before drifting off was lying on her chest. She looked perfect, though, when she slept.
Josh had learned that he could watch her sleep for hours if he let himself. She is eight months old. Well, I hope you enjoyed that short and sweet little rewrite of Holy Night. It was so much fun rewatching this episode and watching Josh embarrassingly flounder around Donna with the Jack Reese date. I was like, "dude, you're so lucky I'm not writing you do this in my AU.
This was one of the first concepts I came up with in outlining a prospective sequel to IFA, but I was struggling with connecting them all into a multichapter plot. So I think, as we advance, I'm going to focus maybe more so on specific episode rewrites, possibly out of order, however my muse takes me. Also, then I can label the smut a little bit better. I have plans for that. You can find me at rosieposiepie on Tumblr.
I post West Wing content and other fandom-related things. Thank you so much for reading. As always, I appreciate your feedback in all its many, lovely forms. I hope you guys have a happy holiday. Film making has now become a popular industry throughout the world, where feature films are always awaited by cinemas. Films are made in two main ways. The first is through shooting and recording techniques through film cameras.
This method is done by photographing images or objects. The second uses traditional animation techniques. This method is done through computer graphic animation or CGI techniques. Both can also be combined with other techniques and visual effects.
Filming usually takes a relatively long time. It also requires a job desk each, starting from the director, producer, editor, wardrobe, visual effects and others. There is also the term extras that are used as supporting characters with few roles in the film.
This is different from the main actors who have bigger and more roles. Being an actor and an actress must be demanded to have good acting talent, which is in accordance with the theme of the film he is starring in. The existence of a stuntman is important to replace the actors doing scenes that are difficult and extreme, which are usually found in action action films. Films can also be used to convey certain messages from the filmmaker.
Some industries also use film to convey and represent their symbols and culture. Filmmaking is also a form of expression, thoughts, ideas, concepts, feelings and moods of a human being visualized in film. The film itself is mostly a fiction, although some are based on fact true stories or based on a true story.
