Mostly trouble free so far, BUT 8. Just Installed 8. Downloaded the new update to my iPad and now it will not start. I press the power button and the Apple logo appears and stays on the screen for a good minute and then the screen go black again. Anyone else having this problem? The install on all took awhile, but I left them alone and they completed without problems. The app launcher seems faster. I have an iPad3. The update took only a few minutes to download and install, and I have had no problems so far. The links for the iPad 3 Cellular models are incorrect. They are linking to iPad 2,2 and 2,3, when they should be iPad 3,2 and 3,3. I downloaded 8. Just let it sit until the update has finished installing. It takes a long time depending on your internet speed.
After updating an iPhone 5, I get only a part of a screen that seems to have been designed for an iPad. I am pretty sure the zoom was activated after the IOS 8. I almost tried to reset the phone hoping to fix it. I just updated to iOS 8.

Thanks again Apple!!! What a great iOS update! Let it sit, it may complete updating on its own, the same thing happened on my iPhone Plus and it took a very long time before finishing. The progress bar did not move. Never seen an update take this long. Let this be a warning to others updating to iOS 8. Do I need to get it checked. Is there any way to go back to old version. At least the phone will start working.
My last couple updates, maybe one of them was a computer update, took a long time. One update I started when I went to bed and in the morning nothing had happened. But I read that sometimes when a new system is out their system gets overwhelmed. Am reading all these comments first. How about if it was interrupted? Like mine, while I was upgrading my iPhone 4s using iTunes my laptop shut down and all I can see now is the apple logo and the progress bar and I cant shut it down or restore it.
What will I do? That will resolve the issue. Anyway, I downloaded and upgraded without any issue whatsoever! I decided to try and run the update to my phone last night.. Just hold down and select the preferred skin tone, and you should find something close to the original emoji.
Updated my iPad and iPhone, went and made a cup of tea and when I came back it was all done. Take some Soma, lie down for half an hour and grow up. I deleted all Messages, no relief. Sometimes backing up and reinstalling from a backup is the only solution.
