The big advantage of using Microsoft's own apps is they will not foul up the formatting of PC generated documents after editing, as independent office suites and apps will do. That said, on my experience I would NOT rely on any phone app or web browser site, including Microsoft's own, for editing complex documents or spreadsheets, for example with tables of contents, subject index, or complex margin or text style formats :.
An alternative is try the MS Live web-based Office in a good browser, and is compatible with OneDrive storage, but again formats, macros, etc. You might want to try Microsoft's own Edge browser for Android to Access the Live Office, which may be best optimized for compatibility. My suggestion would be to make a copy of one of your more complex Office documents and thoroughly test out editing, saving and sharing before relying on any app for mission critical work.
The ad-supported version of OneSync is pretty full featured but limited to sync of a single folder and 10MB file sizes. Micrososft Office came pre-installed on my Tab4 10 Plus, and it works fine, at no cost. The tablet itself is great, just the software leaves much to be desired. I will be bringing it down to the service centre this weekend, see what Lenovo can do about it although i am extremely doubtful. Wishing you the best :.
United States of America. Were any of you able to get this resolved? My organization purchased of these devices, and of the first dozen that we have unboxed almost all of them are randomly rebooting.
The only difference in what I have observed is that I'm not getting stop errors for any apps. We have factory reset them and just let them sit after initial setup. They still reboot even with nobody using them. Sorry to hear that. I never got the reboot problem solved. My tablet was sent to Lenovo service twice and all they did was a factory reset on both times. Can you believe it? I ended up returning it to the online store for a refund just two days ago.
Lenovo's rank dropped way down for me, I'm amazed how their own official service completely ignores the possibility that it's a hardware fault instead software. Maybe somehow it could be a software issue but they're still unable to do anything about it.
A Lenovo product is not going to be a choice for me in the near future, that's for sure. I'm sorry to break the bad news for you but you're in the US so maybe you'll have better luck with their service.
