If you are outside your provider's network, enable data roaming to use MMS, although the MMS features may not function properly until you are back in your provider's network. If your Android phone is newly activated, check that your service plan includes a data plan. Most providers require that Android users have a smartphone data plan included in their service. Depending on your provider, you can either check your plan online through the provider's website or by calling customer service.
If data is not included, ask the provider to add it to your plan. Most providers activate the data coverage immediately so that you can use your MMS service. A soft reset clears up a range of issues on Android phones. Look at bottom of page, select get help. Now go perform your procedure to get your complaint. When I press the download button, it changes to the text "Downloading" for a moment, and then it changes back to the download button and nothing else happens. I was expecting the picture to open, or something. As an experiment, I toggled it OFF then ON again, then pushed the Download button on my text message again, but got the same result it said "downloading" briefly then nothing.
But there is no "mobile" choice. I just solved this issue on my phone, mms only works through 3g or 4g. It doesnt work over wifi so turn your wifi off, turn your mobile data on and it will work!

I then turned off my phone, took out the SIM, re-inserted it and turned the phone back on. I was then able to receive text messages. Your data will be backed up to Google drive.
